I called up to get the stipple in my ceiling tested for asbestos. After hearing about how some companies swap samples and to be wary of business that test for asbestos (so they can get a demo job), from the moment I spoke to Karen and Chris I knew I could trust them and feel at ease. When Jason came to the property he was pretty confident that there wasn't any asbestos but I wanted to test just for ease of mind. I needed the sample tested asap as I had trades booked to start renovating the property in two days time. Jason knew this and personally delivered the sample to the independent testing centre that night for testing first thing the next morning. By the end of the day I had a negative test produced and were able to safely start our renovations. Thank you to Jason, Karen and the team for your out of this world customer service and your professionalism throughout the whole process. The owner of coastal asbestos came out and quoted the job which I though was great. He went through the whole process in detail which put our minds at ease. His guys turned up early and were ready to go. They went through the works process and explained what they were going to do. All work place health and safety were used and area was barricaded of with all correct signs in place. When the guys were finished the area was clean as a whistleIf I was to have asbestos removed again I would call coastal asbestos and have them do it. If any of my friends and family needed to have asbestos removed I would recommend coastal asbestos without hesitation.

I started home renovations in my wife and my first home recently purchased without considering that some of the materials on my older house could have contained asbestos. I called Coastal who responded the very next day. Upon inspection the guy who came to take a sample was adamant that the gyprock material in both ceiling and wall would not contain asbestos and also refused to accept a call out fee.The company could have easily taken the sample anyway to warrant a call out and inspection fee but did not. Great company with good word of mouth reputation. In the future I’ll be sure to use them for any asbestos related concerns

I had initially gone with another company who use a laser gun technology and provide on the spot test results. They told me I had asbestos in my whole apartment and quoted me over $10000 for removal. I almost paid this, however I wanted to double check with a Class A removalist. I contacted Coastal Asbestos, and asked them to retest my apartment. They retested it, it came back negative. After further research I discovered the gun is not accredited for use in Australia, there is only one accredited facility for testing asbestos and that’s in a lab. They saved me over 10 grand and couldn’t have been lovelier or kinder. They honestly restored my faith in the industry and trades in general.

I am not sure where to begin with. We got our property tested by one of the companies who used their handheld device to detect asbestos and he then sent us certificate that we have asbestos in our ceiling that we had just sanded and the dust has gone everywhere and we got told that just in case we should check for asbestos so we did .. we chosen someone that came up in google search as first and he provided us with positive asbestos result meaning that we were in a lot of trouble and possibly looking 50k to get it back to any normal state. However we then contacted Coastal Asbestos removal and he came to meet me and told me that we should get ornaments tested in Independent Laboratory first as not everyone in this industry aren’t doing the right thing, he gave me some honest insights of the matter and was actually there to help you. Our tests came back negative for Asbestos and he possibly saved us 50k. Whoever is dealing with asbestos matters please coincided them as honest and reliable business to deal with. I can’t even thank them enough after all this stress we endured and the sadness when the other business gave us a false reading on our first family home we have just bought.
